WEATHERPROOF^TM WAP

Weatherproof^TM WAP offers global and local weather forecasts and observations to the mobile end-users. Services are very easy to customise for different user groups and localise to different countries. Weatherproof^TM WAP includes local and global weather forecasts to all selected locations, special weather services for sailing, golf, skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, travelling, festivals, motor sport etc. Weatherproof^TM WAP also was the first WAP service offering weather radar animations for WAP users. This year we launched RAINMAN-service which has become a very popular interactive Radar Animation Service. It has won already two Mobile Service Awards.

Weather service packages are always tailored according to customer´s needs. New type of weather services and languages can easily be added to the WAP service. All forecasts are generated dynamically and online from meteorological data per each request.

Currently the system supports following languages: English, German, Spanish, Italian, Finnish, Swedish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Danish, French, Portuguese, Estonian and Chinese.

FMI supplies the technical environment for the mobile weather service application acting as a service provider. FMI hosts the application and provides the content for the service in close co-operation with the national / local weather services world-wide. FMI acts also as a consultant sharing its knowledge and experience how to present the weather information in a mobile WAP form.
